Two civilians killed

Two civilians had left WELIMADE area on Wednesday night around 10.00 with a load of logs to the "SATHASIVAM" timber mill in AKKARAIPATTU. Later, two unidentified persons had arrived at the timber mill and had abducted them.

The Special Task Force (STF) with the AKKARAIPATTU police had jointly gone to the ALIADIVEMBU area in the NAVAKKADU and cordoned off the area.

The bodies of two males identified as given below were recovered just after midnight around 1.00 by the joint STF and Police in the search operations conducted in the area.

It was confirmed that the bodies were of the two persons who had come to the timber mill the previous night to the "SATHASIVAM" timber mill.

1. SUGATH RAJARATNA (Driver), 47 years and unmarried of Walahamulla, UKKUWELA.

2. NIMAL, 25 years (unmarried ), Balagalle, AMBAGASDOWA.
