Padmika Mahanama, the General Manager of Maga Neguma, on Monday lodged a complaint with the Mount Lavinia police, alleging that the Chairman of the project had stormed his office at Angulana, pulled out a pistol and assaulted him threatening to shoot him through the mouth.

According to the complaint, the 32-year-old son of retired Justice Mahanama Tillekaratne had been threatened that he would be killed ‘like a dog’. He said the attack had followed a spate of threatening telephone calls received by him in the recent past.

Chairman wasn’t available for comment. Mahanama said that he had been repeatedly ordered not to come for work and Monday’s attack had come after the Mount Lavinia Magistrate ordered police to track down the person or persons responsible for death threats.
