The proposal to extend the emergency regulation by anther month was passed in Parliament today by a majority of 78 votes.

93 votes were received in favour of the proposals while 15 votes were received against it. The JVP voted for the proposal along with the government and The TNA voted against it. 
UNP and other opposition members were abstain at the voting.
