Three families seek naval protection

Eleven persons sought naval protection at the PALLIMUNAI Fishing Marshalling Point in MANNAR, jointly manned by the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police.

Three families including ten persons and another male age of 30 were reported to have sought protection.

Three families which include seven males and four females .One family is reported to be from KILINOCHCHI and the others from MULANGAVIL and MULIYAWELI.

 

These people have escaped from NACHCHIKUDA area via VEDITHALATHIEVE

They have escaped from the LTTE controlled areas due to harassments and lack of basic facilities.

These families were handed over to the Representative of the Divisional Secretary at the Civil Coordinating Office at MANNAR for further action.
