All should work together to form a free and just society-President

President Mahinda Rajapakse says that all should work together to form a free and just society. It is useless to find faults done in past. It is our supreme duty to inherit prosperous and peaceful country for the future generation.

Issuing a message to mark Wesak festival the President stresses that all should essentially thrive towards development with a correct vision to achieve this goal. The Lord Buddha has shown the correct path to achieve physical and spiritual success for the man kind . The supreme respect we can offer to Buddha is to lead life abide by Buddhist principles . The president further says that the government is also committed to rule the country according to such principles . He appealed to the public to lead good life with love and compassion to others .

Prime Minsiter Rathnasiri Wickremanayake says that all should determine to establish a peaceful society that respect for positive human relationship. The best way to face the challenges of this complicated society is to lead a simple life without endless desires.

 

Minister of Religious Affairs Pandu Bandaranaike , Jathika Hela Urumaya and several other religious dignitaries have also issued wesak felicitation messages. Meanwhile Arch Bishop Rt.Rev. Oswald Gomes says that all should join hands during this wesak season to form religious harmony.
