Though President Mahinda Rajapakasa calls Ranjan Ramanayake an ‘outsider’, it is actually Basil and Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who are the true outsiders, leader of the UNP, Ranil Wickremesinghe said.Addressing a group of lawyers in Rathnapura today (July 26th) the UNP leader said, “Ranjan is a citizen of this country. However, Basil and Gotabhaya Rajapaksa are citizens of America.”If we take a train as an example, the first class represents the Madamulana Walauwa. Sinhalese occupies the second class. The Muslims are on the footboard while Tamils are not even onboard, he added.Today, people are divided everywhere as Sinhala -Tamils, upcountry and low country etc. Finally, even the Sinhalese are dividing themselves. Division leads to destruction of this country, Mr. Wickremesinghe said.The United National Party is not a party with divisions. However, it is hard to solve these problems till everyone considers them as Sri Lankans, he added.
