SB Followers are failed again to appoint SB as a MP

The United National Party is in a jeopardy due to a recent proposal made by a senior member of the UNP John Amaratunga to appoint S.B.Dissanayake as a member of the Parliament. Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake seconded this proposal at the UNP’s Politburo meeting held on last Wednesday at the Parliamentary complex.After the motion presented the politburo Leader of the Party Ranil Wickramasinghe said he would discuss with the relevant National list Parliamentarian to resign from the parliament to in order to appoint Mr.Dissanayake to fill the vacancy.At present SB holds national Organizer post of the UNP. However the said MP who told the leadership that he cannot resign his seat, but assured to sacrifice his life for the UNP.However the SB followers said the said national MP did not face the last general election and he would not face future elections as well.The SB supporters said Mr.Dissanayake was in jail due to the party activities done by him. They said the UNP must honor this type of politician who wishes to face future elections behalf of the UNP.The UNP’s internal sources said this was the second time SB’s proposal was failed before the politburo of the United National Party.
