Dr. P.B. Jayasundara need not be removed from his positions as Secretary of the Finance Ministry and the Treasury, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has stressed. Innocent public officials should not be blamed for the wrongs of political leaders and politicians, the president said, referring to the Supreme Court ruling against the top official. Mr. Rajapaksa was speaking at the economic advisory committee meeting at Temple Trees yesterday (July 29th). Dr. Jayasundara and Ministers Karu Jayasuriya, Milinda Moragoda and Bandula Gunawardena attended the discussion.
