Actions will be taken against web sites giving false information

The government is monitoring the web sites those give false information regarding the LTTE.

It is an offence not only under the Prevention of Terrorist Act but also under ordinary law, said the Director General of Media Centre of National Security, Luxman Hulugalla.

It is the responsible of all citizens of Sri Lanka to disseminate the correct information of Sri Lanka to the world. But they cannot violate this using the media freedom.

The government has all the potential powers to defeat the LTTE, he said further.
