Request for help to provide medical service to the Vakarai people

Requests have been made for medications to treat the Vakarai displaced people. The Health and Community Organization is providing medical Service for the displaced people of Vakarai for the next days from today through their Batticaloa Division. Those who are interested in helping in this project could contact the Organization on the phone on 2372246 or 0779611419 and pledge their support.

There is a danger of Chikunguniya, Dengue, Malaria and Chickenpox spreading among the displaced people from Vakarai. It is with this in mind the medical service has been started by the Health and Community Organization. At the same time 110 more people have come into the government controlled areas from Vakarai and they have been sheltered in Savukkady, Valaichenai and Batticaloa Welfare Centres.
