Vijai Nambiyar UN Chief Officer

Vijai Nambiyar was appointed as the chief of staff of the UN new Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.

He is a senior officer of the Indian Foreign Services and served in the UN office for a long time. He was the senior advisor of UN Secretary General Kofi Anon.

Ban Ki Moon said that he was associated with Nambiyar for a long time. This is an honourable responsibility placed on me due to his confidence in me, said Nambiyar.
