Colombo Magistrate Manjula Thilakarathna issued summons to Sirasa News Director Susil Kindelpitiya to appear in court on August 18 to make a statement pertaining to the two CDs produced in the court as evidence connected to the incident of Minister Mervin Silva attacking the Sirasa cameramen and stealing their cameras at the opening of a flyover in Kelaniya.

The summon was ordered on the request of the Peliyagoda police station that is conducting the investigation.

Counsel Kalinga Indrathissa, through a motion, produced to the court an extra copy of the CD submitted to the police on the view that the plaintiffs had no confidence on the police investigations.

After considering the arguments of the both parties, the Magistrate ordered Mr. Kindelpitiya, the News Director of Sirasa to appear in courts on August 18 to make a statement on the produced CDs.
