Suicide jacket recovered from private bus

A suicide jacket was recovered from a private bus, operating on route No.154 between Ratmalana and Kiribathgoda, last evening around 6.30 p.m.

 

The conductor of the bus found an unclaimed baggage inside the bus and provided the information to police at Bambalapitiya. The police then arrived and examined the parcel, which contained a suicide jacket. The parcel was then handed over to the bomb disposal squad that diffused it. The Bambalapitiya police are conducting further investigations.
