LTTE triggers claymore explosion killing 05 Civilians - Jaffna

Claymore mine fix on to a bicycle exploded accidentally while it was being transported by a LTTE terrorist at Uddupiddi Junction, Jaffna around 3.00 p.m. today (29).

Due to explosion five innocent civilians were killed and two others were injured. LTTE terrorist who was carrying the claymore mine also killed leaving body damaged. After search in the area troops recovered a Hand Grenade in LTTE cadres possession.

This is yet another incident that indicate the intention of the tigers in harming the Security Forces even during negotiations, but innocent Tamil civilians were the victims.
