Twelve soldiers killed and 51 injured by the LTTE

The Army has said that 12 soldiers were killed and 51 injured as a result of the missile attack on the Kajuwatha Army Camp Batticaloa by the LTTE. It is said that their missile attack was launched in the area of Vaharai, Kajuwatha, Panichankerni and the Veruhal areas.

The National Defence Information Centre has said that over twenty were killed and 60 were injured consequent to the retaliations and that a Motor launching pad of the LTTE was destroyed along with the weapons there in.
