Exam on another date for war affected students

A special date will be set up for the candidates who could not sit for the O/L examination, which commenced yesterday due to the displacement by war, said the Education Secretary.

The exams would be held at a later date, especially for the war affected candidates of Batticaloa and Trincomalee Districts. Stringent actions would be taken against those who do not give valid reasons.

A protest demonstration was held yesterday by the displaced to hold the exam on another date for the displaced students sheltered in the Kantalai Somadevi School.
