Separate administration is to weaken the eastern Muslims

The Sri Lanka Muslim Congress in its parliamentary group meeting yesterday criticized the government for its plan to make the eastern Muslims weak by making Trincomalee a separate administrative unit.

Eastern province was made a separate administrative unit with Kalmunai as its capital. But there is a threat that the Muslims will be made a minority in the province. It is a shame that some Muslims have supported this issue.

A committee was appointed on the head on Hasan Ali to prepare a report regarding the three administrative units of the northeastern province.
