New faces to Sri Lanka cricket team against Pakistan series

Sri Lankan Cricket officials have taken measures to introduce several new faces to the national squad for the upcoming home series against Twenty20 world champions, Pakistan.

Sri Lanka Cricket today named the SLC XI team for the first three-day practice match against Pakistan to be held at Colts Grounds from June 29 to July 01. According to the sources, Minister of Sports and Public Recreation, Gamini Lokuge has granted approval to the squad. The new SLC XI team selected for the first three-day practice match is s follows: Thilina Kandamby (Captain) Chamara Kapugedera (Vice Captain) Upul Tharanga, Tharanga Paranavithana, Lahiru Thirimanna, Gehan Rupasinghe, Kaushal Silva, M. Pushpakumara, Farveez Maharoof, Dilhara Fernando, Suraj Mohamed, Nuwan Pradeep and Milinda Siriwardena.
