He went on to say that there were a number of soldiers who have lost their limbs
and another number who are of unstable mentality, and therefore they are unable
to return to their families. Under the instruction of H.E the President Mahinda
Rajapaksa, the Secretary of the Ministry Defence Public Security Law and Order
Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has taken action to open up a rehabilitation centre in
Aththidiya for these valiant soldiers. This will be a permanent centre
established with the purpose of ensuring that the soldiers who played a major
role in the victory of the country will have all possible care and their needs
well attended to.
