The attack of the LTTE at the army front line in Muhamalai continued for the
whole day. Both sides used rockets and artilleries. It was a direct
confrontation between LTTE and the army. 8 soldiers were seriously injured and
were taken to Palaly army hospital for treatment. It was the first confrontation
in 2007, said the army spokesman.
