Acting on a lead from a resident, the Army uncovered a large stock of C-4 explosives, suicide jackets and ammunition from a house in the KANTHARODAI area around 10.00 a.m. this morning. LTTE suicide jackets recovered from Kantharodai Jaffna T - 56 Weapon and explosives recovered from Kantharodai Jaffna The stock had been carefully concealed in a hidden compartment between two walls of the house, Army sources said. The discovery is one of the biggest findings in JAFFNA during recent times. The Army believes that the items would have been stored by the LTTE terrorists to mount a major attack to disrupt normalcy in Jaffna.
