Colombo indices drop as selling pressure continues

Colombo indices declined with the continuation of selling pressure on retailers, while the market turnover remained relatively low, brokers said.

“The main reasons for the decrease in indices were price reductions in shares such as John Keells Holdings which closed at Rs 136, down 75 cents. Such selling pressure will be seen tomorrow as well, as the market is going through a correction,” a broker said.
All Share was down by 0.41% to 2,408.91 with Milanka seeing a 0.18% drop to 2,709.57 on a Rs 341.6 million turnover at close.
