Fitch Teleconference: Non-Japan Asia SF Outlook and Investor Sentiment Survey, 14 January, 15:00 HKT
Fitch Ratings-Hong Kong/Taipei/Singapore-13 January 2010: Fitch Ratings is scheduled to host a teleconference to share its non-Japan Asia (NJA) Structured Finance (SF) sector outlook for 2010 and the findings of its inaugural investor sentiments survey for NJA SF transactions on Thursday, 14 January 2010 at 15:00 HKT.
Fitch notes that the performance of NJA economies proved more resilient than their US and European counterparts during the financial crisis. According to the published macroeconomic information, the agency expects these NJA economies to regain their growth momentum from Q409 onwards. In 2010, the agency expects most of its monitored NJA SF transactions to maintain stable rating performance, mainly due to improving economic conditions and the conservative base case assumptions adopted for the initial rating assignment.
Despite the stable performance, Fitch's investor survey conducted in November 2009 shows that NJA investors remain cautious towards SF products. Some investors expect to start investing in SF products with a significant lag, while others expect richer pricing as the compensation for their investment participation.
The teleconference follows the releases of Fitch's "2010 Non-Japan Asia Structured Finance Outlook" and "Inaugural Non-Japan Asia SF Investor Survey, November 2009". Stan Ho, Senior Director, Peeyush Pallav, Director and Henry Hung, Associate Director from the agency's non-Japan Asia Structured Finance Team will join the call and outline the agency's projections for both asset and rating performance across major NJA SF asset types. The findings of the agency's investor sentiments survey will also be shared.
The agenda is as follows:
--Henry Hung, Associate Director; 2010 NJA SF Outlook;
--Peeyush Pallav, Director; NJA SF Investor Survey, November 2009.
The presentation will last for approximately 30 minutes followed by a Q&A session for interested participants.
