Danuna’s grandmother gets bail

The Colombo Fort Magistrate today released Danuna Tillekaratne’s grandmother on a cash bail of Rs3000 after she was arrested by the CID late last night for allegedly providing accommodation to Danuna last month.

The CID arrested Danuna’s grandmother at midnight yesterday, on charges that she had provided accommodation to her grand son on or around February 17, after a warrant for his arrest had already been issued.

When she was produced before court today, the Magistrate granted her Rs.3000 bail and two sureties each who were fined Rs.25,000 each.
