Two Philippine females with Swine Flu admitted to hospital in Sri Lanka

Two Philippine nationals who are in Sri Lanka for a tour have been tested positive for Swine Flu and admitted to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in Angoda.

 

 

 

Dr. Anura Senanayake, Director of the Hospital confirmed that the two Philippine women were admitted to the hospital last night by the officials of Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake.

 

According to the sources at the airport several air lines have rejected to carry the two women to Philippines due to the infection.

 

The total number of swine flu patients detected in Sri Lanka has risen to seven including these two foreigners.

 

Currently three patients are receiving treatment at the IDH and four who received treatment at the hospital have been discharged.
