Six dead in road traffic accidents

Six persons were killed in road traffic accidents during the last 24 hours.

 

A Colombo-Bandarawela bound lorry carrying tiles toppled killing one person at 5. 15 a.m. today. Two died in a similar accident in Dambulla. According to Police sources those who were killed in Dambulla were the manager of the Teldeniya bus depot and an employee. 

 

In Tissapura, Ambalantota a container crashed into power pole transformers killing two technicians of the Electricity Board who were at the time repairing the transformers. 

 

A 20 year old died on spot as a result of a three wheeler bike collision in Hambantota.
