LTTE attack on the Navy

A clash between the LTTE and the navy took place in the Pesalai in the Kurusuppadu Sea, today around 6.45 a.m.  One sailor was killed and 8 others injured.

The navy launched an attack on the LTTE with the assistance of the air force killing 18 LTTE cadres. The other LTTE cadres escaped to their Vidattaltivu camp.
