UNF – General Talks End Up Without Conclusion

It is reported that talks held between the leaders of United National Front and General Sarath Fonseka yesterday has ended without any conclusion. This discussion had been held to appoint General Sarath Fonseka as the leader of UNF.

General Sarath Fonseka has refused the proposal brought up by the UNF and it is reported that General Fonseka was of the view that this matter has to be discussed with the JVP as well.

UNP Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe, Parliamentarians Karu Jayasuriya, Ravi Karunanayake along with Western People’s Front Leader Mano Ganeshan and the Leader of Muslim Congress Rauf Hakeem had participated in this discussion.

It is also reported that Mr Mano Ganeshan had walked out amidst the discussion.
