Mano To Contest From Kandy

Democratic People’s Front (DPF) leader Mano Ganesan has decided to join the fray from the Kandy District this time, informed sources said. His brother Prabha Ganeshan is expected to contest from the Colombo District according to sources.

The senior members of the party had discussions with the UNP leadership on Saturday morning where these changes were agreed on.
 
DPF sources said the party would come to a final decision by today as another round of discussion was to be held with UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesighe last night. DPF Leader was heading towards Nuwaraeliya to have a discussion with the party’s district leaders there for a discussion in the last afternoon.
It was also reported that it was likely that the DPF would get two slots in the Colombo District with two others slots will go to other Tamils in the UNP. UNP Member of the Western Provincial Council C. Y. P. Ram is reported to be one of the Tamil candidates who is expected to get the slot.
