The Tourism Ministry had spent Rs. 150 lakhs for a temporary stall at the Deyata Kirula exhibition held in Pallekele, Kandy. The monies have been spent on a 10x20 tent.

One such stall has had a replica of a spa owned by a private company. The functions of the Kandalama Hotel had been depicted in two other tents.

It is learnt that the normal cost for one such tent would be between Rs. 8-10 lakhs.

Interestingly, there has not been any feature at the exhibition aimed at tourism development.
