UNF launches its manifesto

The UNF launched its election manifesto today (16) at Sri Kotha , the party Headquarters ,under the leadership of UNP and Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe before a large gathering which included all Western Province candidates and UNF leaders .

Following religious ceremonies, the key note address was made by the UNF Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe who introduced the manifesto to the large gathering.

The manifesto among other matters centered on political freedom, national harmony and peace and gives priority to national issues.

SLFP (M) Leader Mnagala Samaraweera speaking on the occasion said , the manifesto aims at solving unemployment and providing people’s welfare .The Gen . Secretary of the UNP Tissa Atanayake said, the education of the country shall be developed at village and national levels.
