CID seeks the assistance of the district secretary of Mullaitivu to identify a female suicide bomber

The CID decides to seek the assistance of the district secretary of Mullaitivu to establish the identity of female suicide bomber who attempted to assassinate Minister Douglas Devananda at his office recently.

The CID informed this decision to the Colombo Magistrate Court today.

A report submitted by the CID to the court said the suicide bomber has been identified as Megawanam Susantha and a resident in Mullativu.

The CID said they have requested the Mullativu district secretary to furnish the relevant details through the Grama Niladari of the village of the suicide bomber.
