Palaly Ratmalana air service

The Commissioner of Essential Services has taken steps to ensure the Ratmalana Palay private passenger air services.

The service will take place on every Tuesdays and Saturdays.  50 passengers can travel at a time. The one way fare per head will be Rs. 8200/=. The flight to Palaly from Ratmalana will be back in Ratmalana on the same day. Passengers from Jaffna have to obtain a permit from the Army Civil Office prior to obtaining a ticket.

At the same time the passenger ship service between Trincomalee and Jaffna will commence from tomorrow. The service from Trincomalee to Kankesanturai and from Kankesanturai to Trincomalee will be held on the every other day. 300 passengers can travel in the vessel at a time and the fare is Rs. 1500/= per head. This ship service will be only during the day time with the navy escort. The passengers can obtain the tickets in the District Secretariats of Jaffna, Trincomlaee and Vavuniya.
