SLMM awaits the LTTE response to transport essential items through A9

The LTTE was informed officially regarding the transport of goods to the people of Jaffna   on humanitarian grounds through the A 9 route and we are expecting the LTTE’s response in this regards said the Monitoring Mission spokesperson, Thofinur Omarson.

If the LTTE needs more details about this government’s plan, we are prepared to clarify. This decision was taken considering the present weather prevailing in the country. The Co-Chairs also complemented this decision of the government.
