UTV Movies, World Movies to launch on Sri Lanka's Dialog TV

MUMBAI: UTV Global Broadcasting Limited (UGBL) will launch UTV Movies and World Movies on Dialog TV, Sri Lanka's direct-to-home service provider, in September.
 

Commenting on taking the two movie channels to the Sri Lanka market, UGBL executive director Shantonu Aditya said, "Sri Lanka is a very key market for media consumption in South Asia and with Dialog TV as our partner, we are confident of reaching out our content to the right audiences. The Sri Lankan viewer has a taste for quality entertainment and we are sure our content will surpass their expectations."
 

Dialog TV CEO Nushad Perera said, "At Dialog TV we are always looking for new channels that will enhance our existing bouquet through good content, thereby providing our customer with a superior entertainment experience. As a Sri Lankan DTH television service provider we have found a huge need for good quality entertainment, which will give our viewers hours of the very best in films and programs. I believe that our partnership with UTV Broadcasting will enhance our infotainment platform through its high quality entertainment."
UTV has also tied up with Japan-based IPTV service provider The New Media Group (TNMG) to offer two of its channels on the IPTV platform.Hindi movie channel UTV Movies and business channel UTVi are available on TNMG’s IPTV platform ‘World On-Demand’ to the viewers of Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
