Over 2,000 security men deployed as Fonseka's FR case comes up

The hearing of the Fundamental Rights Petition filed on behalf of Gen (retd) Sarath Fonseka commenced a shortwhile back in the Supreme Courts.

 The bench headed Chief Justice, Ashoka de Silva consists of Shirani Thilakawardena and Chandra Ekanayaka.
The petition has been filed by Ms Anoma Fonseka, wife of Gen Fonseka and Ms Sharmila Perera, the Secretary of the New Democratic Front under which Gen Fonseka contested the Preisdential elections.

Crowds are gathering outside the courts premises while tight security is being maintained.
Meanwhile the government deployed over 2,000 police, army and STF  around the Supreme Courts complex in Hulftsdorp due to this court case.
Our court reporter said strict security checks are being maintained while police is restricting the number of persons entering the court premises.
