Bank locker of Gen Fonseka's relative searched, Rs. 75 million found

Rs 75 million worth local and foreign currency held in a bank-locker by a close relative of Gen (retd) Fonseka has been recovered today, Police spokesman SP P. Jayakoday said.

Police Spokesman addressing a a press conference at the Media Centre for National Security said the money consisted of 15 million rupees, 527,000 US dollars and 100 Sterling Pounds was found in Ms Ashoka Thilakaratne's locker in a private bank. She is Gen Fonseka's son in law's mother. 

The locker had been searched by the CID after obaining a court order.
