EPDP attack the opponent parties in Jaffna

Reports publish that the opponent parties and Independent parties are attacked by EPDP in Jaffna while they are involved in election campaigns. EPDP in the state of sustaining at least one seat in Jaffna, and due to its doubt even of this, is the fear has resulted such attacks is stated.

In the meantime accusations are that the EPDP supporters are in the process of attacking.

It was pointed out that at the last 2004 elections, during an attack initiated by the EPDP in Jaffna, two Tamil National Alliance candidates were killed and some were injured. Information states, only two Tamil National Alliance candidates are gone to the islet locations to conduct election campaigns. The vehicles which they travelled was attacked by EPDP. The party campaigns posters displayed by the opponent parties in Jaffna are forcibly removed is according to observers.
