Names of members of the second court martial will be sent to the President – Army Commander

Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya said the names of members of the second court martial against General Sarath Fonseka would be handed over to the President on the 19th.

He had made this comment during a friendly chat with several journalists after an event at the Mount Lavinia Hotel on the 18th. He had said that names of three senior officers would be proposed to the President and that the second court martial would be reconvened following Presidential decision.

The second court martial against General Fonseka was adjourned half an hour after convening last Wednesday (17).

  It was then decided to establish a new court martial to hear the remaining charges against General Fonseka.
