Namal tries to teach law to the Navy

UPFA parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa is to be appointed as a legal consultant to the Sri Lanka Navy.

Legal experts say that appointing Namal to such a position even before he is sworn in as a lawyer is illegal.

Sources from the Navy say that senior legal consultants in the Navy are discontented with the decision.

Navy Spokesperson Captain Athula Senarath told us that he was not aware of any such matter.
